About the Vendor:

My name is Catherine Shope. I started my business, Pure Grace Pottery, in the Spring of 2023. My business name comes from my name, Catherine means “Pure” and my middle name is Grace. I have been blessed with the opportunity to pursue making a business out of pottery. My dream from childhood was to have a small business selling art, and through exploration of all the mediums, pottery instantly captivated me. I find so much joy in creating and I believe that God gave me that gift to share with others. The more I do pottery, the more I learn that is it so much more than just making mugs. The process reflects an image of our lives. We were created with purpose, to bring a creator glory. Sometimes we break and fall apart, but we’re so important to our creator that He wants to fix us. And more times than not, a piece made from broken parts of past pieces is a lot more glorious than the first. Our lives are broken, and God wants to restore them and make them far more beautiful than anyone could ever imagine. I hope that if you buy one of my pieces, that it will bring you as much joy as it brought me as I was making it. May it also serve as a reminder that you are “Clay in the Potters hand” (Jeremiah 18:6), and that all brokenness can be resorted through Jesus Christ.
